Your client exfoliated this morning. She also put on deodorant, moisturized her legs, and showered in whatever comes out of her tap. That is the surface your solution is about to react with. PREP 75 goes on through your HVLP immediately before solution and handles four things exfoliation cannot touch. Those four variables decide whether your tan develops the way you intended or fights you the whole way through. It is not an exfoliant. Exfoliation removes dead cells. PREP 75 conditions what is underneath.

WHAT IT HELPS WITH

Soap, body wash, deodorant, and hard water all push skin alkaline. DHA develops color through a chemical reaction, and every chemical reaction is governed by the conditions it runs under. Glycolic and citric acid bring the surface back into the range where your solution behaves predictably.

DHA has to make direct contact with the skin. Lotion, sebum, sunscreen, and deodorant all sit in the way. A gentle sugar-derived surfactant lifts that film without the stripping harshness of a sulfate.

A chelating agent binds free mineral ions on the skin surface so they are no longer chemically available to interfere.

Knees and elbows grab because they are drier and thicker, and dry skin absorbs more. Humectants and film-forming proteins support a uniform hydration profile going in, which means a more uniform result coming out.
